Hi there, I’m Laura

I’m the Founder and Creative Director of Swoon Society and I live in magnificent Tasmania. While I’ve lived both overseas and interstate for many years, I can truly say I’m a born and bred Tasmanian and this is my true ‘home’ and always will be. 

I’m a passionate creative and a true romantic at heart.There’s nothing I love more than stepping back and watching my couples and their guests soaking up all the swoon-worthy moments of a wedding day I’ve helped bring to life.

I believe in living with heart, being present in the moment, and making the most of every experience. My approach is easygoing, but focused, with a keen eye for detail and a love for bringing ideas to life in a fun and meaningful way. I absolutely love connecting with people — it’s the best part of what I do! Every conversation is an opportunity to learn, share, and create something special together.

I live on a farm with my husband and three kids which means there’s always something happening! When I do get a quiet moment I love chatting with the wonderful women in my life or getting lost in a great book. I’m a trained teacher, and the skills I’ve acquired in the classroom translate perfectly into the wedding planning world – whether it’s staying organised, managing timelines, thinking on my feet, or orchestrating fun!

I adored the creative journey of planning and styling my own wedding day, and it lit a fire in me to help other couples make their weddings just as special as mine was for my husband and I.

Fast forward quite a few years, and wedding days are still my favourite days.
